“Det finns två sorters misslyckade författare. De som kan skriva men inte har något att berätta, och de som har något att berätta men inte kan skriva“.
This blog doubles as my travel dairy as well as memory bank. Since the beginning of blogging I may or may not have improved my writing and I have definitely made some changes to my personality. To me, these posts serve as a reminder of what I used to think, feel and of whom I used to be. It serves as proof that I was in fact here.
Being a Korean adoptee from Sweden who grew up on a small island in the Baltic sea, it might seem strange that I’ve been curious about Korea and East Asia for as far back as I can remember. An unfinished thesis and too many University credits in various subjects later, I’m currently an international export manager to-be living in Stockholm and doing my internship at a certain exporting company.
Former board member of AKF (Adopterade Koreaners Förening).
My first language is Swedish, second is English so I apologise beforehand for any mistakes I’ll make. I also speak Korean to some degree and will translate adoptee-related stuff for free if I feel it’s within my abilities so you just have to ask.
This blog will mostly cover my life in the country of yellow and blue. I sometimes get the question “When are you going to Korea next time” or “When are you coming back“.
No date is set as of yet but I often go to Korea in my dreams.
Feel free to leave a comment about anything, really.
